I'm seeing the same thing

I have this, too. Sometimes, the selection gutter is missing, sometimes it is there. If the selection gutter is missing, then delete will delete the wrong documents in the view. Very annoying. If anyone knows how to make the selection gutter re-appear, I'd be most appreciative.
